"My Shy Boss"

My Shy Boss was a drama that confounded me a lot in its script choices. The premise was simple "Shy CEO meets feisty employee". Not rocket science script but it turned into so much more than the simple premise. I wished it had just stuck with the simple premise instead of the school of script writing that invokes the "but wait there's more plot twists" every single episode. Here's some of the reasons I didn't like this drama.
Felt they used suicide too lightly.
Male leads best friend was a louse. While engaged he fell for another woman who committed suicide then expected the male lead to cover it up. Then proceeds three years later to start to fall for another woman while still engaged who of course happens to be the sister of the girl who killed herself. Then he didn't want to stay with the fiancee anymore until a plan could be in place to get his fiancee help even though he knows she's threatened to kill herself many times if he ever left her and tried twice during the drama. But hey after all that had happened they were dating again at the end? Really?!
I dispute the "shy" or the alternate title of "introverted" of the male lead. Let's be clear. He wasn't. He had a severe anxiety disorder and probably some other mental health issues.
I liked the feisty revenge minded female lead but after the rewrite of scripts in episode five she was toned down. And she left her job she loved to get revenge and never went back to the other job.
The female lead never once had any problems being in the same roof/room from which her sister leapt to her death. I mean wouldn't you have issues with that?
Even at the end of the last episode, the male lead had shut her out a whole year supposedly while he worked to get the company back together but one public dance and an I love you fixed it all. I just never felt that they would be a good team. I know they tried to get the point across that they had to learn to communicate in different ways but it just seemed with the whole sordid backstory that I couldn't buy them being together. Too much had happened.
Things weren't all bad though. I did like seeing the male lead come out of his anxious world and the team around him trying to help him out. He was never going to be an orator but he was at least able to talk to most people and live a non-sequestered life. I did think the male lead and the female lead had chemistry and they had good kissing scenes. Wherever they filmed the beach scenes was gorgeous.
So my rating for this drama is 2/5. It was okay but had a lot of issues but not enough to fast forward. Likely to not remember it too much except for the "too many plot twists".
