Where the Introvert Roams...

Hi. I'm Jules. I'm a young at heart almost 49 year old from the Birmingham, Alabama area. I'm not a writer really, so don't look to this blog as a perfect AP example. In fact, I flunked my first English paper. Maximum errors on the first page and that was all it took to put that big fat F up there.

By trade, I am an audiologist. I have a clinical doctorate from the University of Florida and undergraduate and master's degree from the University of Georgia and University of South Alabama. I got into this field because I knew I wanted to work with kids and my first practicum experience in college firmly convinced me teaching was not for me. Audiology at times is like a big puzzle. It's science based but can be creative at times, especially working with the kiddos. I've been with my current employer 20 years next week and I can early retire in five more years if COVID-19 doesn't screw things up. After that? I don't know!  I've got some thoughts I'll probably post about here and there.

I also fancy myself a photographer. Some enjoy my photos- more than my Mom! I feel lacking and I've gotten a bit out of practice of late due to quarantine. I used to do it for some side money but found it was more stressful than I wanted it to be. So now, I do it for family only and myself. I'll be posting some photos here and there.

​

Most of what I will write here will be about TV and music and general entertainment. It won't get political that you can bank on. I've always been fascinated with the entertainment industry- watching the ratings and just the whole process of making the shows. I recently got into Kdramas in December 2019. One day I'll post about that!  I've noticed over the years my TV drama watching has shifted more into international flavor more than American. I've got some theories on that as well.
